Culture Subscription FAQs

What is the Culture Subscription?

It's your whole year of team events, budgeted once and booked as you go. You decide an annual culture budget and roughly how many events you want, pay monthly or upfront, and that amount lands in a credit wallet you draw from all year. Every plan adds bonus credit on top, so the wallet is worth more than you put into it. From there you book anything on Rockoly's menu — cooking classes, happy hours, murder mysteries, paint and sip, wine tastings — in any format, with a dedicated account manager handling the logistics. One line item, no repeat approvals, no last-minute scramble.

How much bonus credit do the plans include?

The more of the year you commit up front, the more credit you get. Three plans, all built on the same annual credit wallet:

  • Team Starter — 4 events a year, 10% bonus credit.
  • Culture Builder — 6 events a year, 15% bonus credit.
  • Culture Leader — 12 events a year, 20% bonus credit.

Bonus credit is real spending power. To put numbers on it, a Culture Leader plan set at a $20,000 annual budget would leave you $24,000 of credit to spend — your own figures depend on the budget you set. Credit rolls over without limit, so an event you skip in March is still yours in November. Every plan also includes a free Rockoly Membership, which adds 5% cash back credit on each event you book, no expedited or international delivery fees, and 5% off add-ons.

Which events should we lock in first?

Peak dates go first, so start with the moments your team already cares about. These are the events teams pick most, and every one of them runs virtual, hybrid or in person:

  • January, Healthy New Year — a cooking or nutrition session that sets the tone for the year.
  • February, Black History Month — hosts who bring the stories behind the recipes.
  • May, AAPI Heritage Month — flavors and traditions from across Asia and the Pacific, plus Cinco de Mayo for tacos and salsa making.
  • June, Juneteenth and Pride Month — meaningful shared food experiences, and colorful mixology, cooking or art events.
  • Summer — a light happy hour or tasting that keeps a quiet season connected.
  • September to October, Hispanic Heritage Month and Oktoberfest — Latin cooking and tastings, then seasonal bites and beer-themed fun.
  • October, Halloween Murder Mystery Happy Hour — solve a case together while you sip and snack.
  • November to December, holiday cooking — classic menus or global favorites for the end of the year.
  • Anytime, Paint and Sip — creative, low-pressure, and it scales to any group size.

Claim these early and spend bonus credit on upgrading the menu or adding gifts.

Why is Pride in June, when nothing else on the calendar is?

Because of one night in Greenwich Village. In the early hours of June 28, 1969, a police raid on the Stonewall Inn met sustained resistance from the bar's patrons, and the protests carried on for several nights. A year later, on the last Sunday of June 1970, the first marches were held in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago to mark the anniversary. June has been the month ever since, in thousands of cities with no connection to that street at all.

It is a useful thing to know when you are laying out a year rather than reacting to a month, because June carries both Pride and Juneteenth and there is only one June. Teams on a subscription tend to claim that month first and split it into two sessions, and an account manager can build the context into the event so it reads as an observance rather than a colour scheme.

Can we mix virtual, in-person and hybrid, and tailor each event to us?

Yes to both. Credits work across every Rockoly format, so you might run a virtual cooking class for the whole company in March, an in-person happy hour for one office in June, and a hybrid holiday event in December, all from the same wallet. Customization costs nothing: your account manager shapes the agenda around your occasion, adds branded touches and builds in team-building games. Dietary needs — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, kosher, no alcohol — are accommodated at no extra cost when you share them in advance. Groups run from 3 to 600 and up, with very large ones usually split by department or across a couple of days.

What if we need to cancel or move a date?

Dates move, and that is much of the point of holding credit instead of buying one-off events. For a full refund, cancel at least 48 hours before the experience is scheduled to start, or within 24 hours of purchase. You can reschedule the date or time within 24 hours of booking and up to 48 hours before the start — message your account manager and they handle it. Nothing unused is lost, because credit rolls over with no expiry. Every event is also covered by the Love Your Event Guarantee: if your Rockoly event doesn't live up to expectations, we'll make it right.

How do we set a subscription up?

Send the form on this page with a rough annual budget and headcount, and an account manager comes back with a plan and a draft calendar. That's usually the fastest way in. You can also call (617) 939-9732 or email events@rockoly.com to book a planning call. Once you're subscribed, your account manager schedules everything with you, and on request you get a customer portal to book, edit and rate events yourself. Cooking events want about three weeks of lead time and happy hours about four, so it pays to claim peak dates early.
