Seasonal

← Back to admin

Every piece of date-sensitive content on the site, each with its own season start and end. Leave the dates empty and it shows all year; set them and it appears only inside that range — opening and closing on its own, with no deploy needed on the day.

Seasonal programmes

The catalogue on/cultural-seasonal-events. Each row shows only inside its own dates. The five marked holiday are the holiday run; the cultural months are here too, since Juneteenth and Pride have seasons of their own.

Seasonal cards

Every card on the site. With no dates a card is there every day of the year — this is what makes holiday menus read as current in July. The obviously seasonal ones and anything you have already dated come first; Show all reaches the rest, because a card is not always named for its season — “Bewitching Brews HH” is a Halloween kit.

Seasonal sections

Menu sections with a seasonal heading. On a page that also has a “Popular…” section the seasonal one is kept below it, so what is bookable now comes first.

A season is set per heading, not per page — “Festive In-Person Menus” is the same section on all seven pages that carry it, so one rule covers them all. Hiding a section hides its heading and its cards together, and a section whose cards are all out of season hides itself rather than leaving an empty heading.
