Make cavatelli from scratch, shaping each piece by hand, then split into teams for a pesto competition with basil, nuts and cheese. Bragging rights go to the most flavorful and the most creative pesto in the room. The chef moves between teams at your office or venue, coaching everyone through each step as the rivalry builds. Add chicken piccata, tiramisu, or Italian wine and beer.

Roll a variety of Japanese maki by hand from sushi rice you make yourself, then pick up the chef's tricks for plating and presentation, all at your office or venue. Whether you are hosting clients or your own team, everyone compares rolls across the table, laughs over the lopsided ones and eats what they made. Add a sake etiquette session and mochi for dessert.

Team up with colleagues or clients to build a charcuterie board from cured meats and cheeses, fruit, nuts, crackers, olives and jam, deciding together what goes where. At your office or venue, the chef shows each team how to arrange its board, and then the boards go side by side before anyone digs in. There is no cooking involved, so the whole session goes into building, comparing and tasting. Add a wine tasting or deli sandwiches and salad.
Make Dubai chocolate hands-on with the chef in the room at your office or venue, close enough to watch every step and ask questions as you go. Your team works side by side instead of on separate screens, trading tips and tasting each other's chocolate as it comes together. By the end, every colleague has chocolate they made themselves to pass around the table.

Prepare tapas from patatas bravas and piquillo de atún to pan con tomate and melon con jamón, while a show-stopping leg of jamón gives the room its talking point. Built for conversation as much as cooking, it suits client appreciation events as well as your own team, with the chef coming to your office or venue. Add vegetable paella, cinnamon churros, or a Spanish wine pairing.

Step behind the bar and mix, shake and stir your own classic cocktails and creative seasonal sips while a mixologist teaches your team each one. Everything happens at your office or a nearby venue, with all the equipment and ingredients provided, so there is nothing for you to source. Picture the whole room shaking at once, then tasting and comparing whose drink came out best.

Swirl, sip and compare bold reds, crisp whites and everything in between while a sommelier at your office or venue tells you what to notice in each glass. Tasting side by side gets the whole team talking, from first impressions to favorites to friendly debates over which wine wins the room. No wine knowledge is needed, just a willingness to say what you taste.

In-Person FAQs
Can you come to our office, or do we need a venue?
We can come to you. Columbus events often run in the client's own space — the chefs arrive with equipment and ingredients and build stations on regular tables, and your planner will go over the room with you first. If your office is too small, or you want somewhere with a bit more atmosphere, we'll line up a venue instead and handle the booking. We cover Columbus from downtown out to Dublin, Westerville and beyond.
What can our team cook?
Six menus run regularly in Columbus, and they suit different kinds of groups: Cavatelli & Competition: pasta shaped by hand, plus a contest for the best pesto. Rolling & Bonding: Japanese maki rolls, sushi rice and the art of plating. Charcuterie & Connection: teams build boards from cured meats, cheeses, fruit, nuts, olives and jam. Tapas & Talk: Melon con Jamón, Pan con Tomate, Patatas Bravas and Piquillo de Atún. Mixology & Mingle: hands-on cocktails led by expert bartenders, with no cooking involved. Sipping & Socializing: a sommelier-guided tasting of bold reds and crisp whites with cheese plates. Any of them can be extended with a main course and a dessert — vegetable paella and cinnamon churros with the tapas, mochi with the sushi, tiramisu with the pasta. There's also our Columbus in-office BBQ, where the chefs bring the grill to your workplace.
Is there a Columbus angle to any of this?
Columbus has quietly shaped how America eats out. Wendy's opened its first restaurant downtown in 1969, White Castle moved its headquarters here in the 1930s and never left, and the city has spent decades as the country's favorite test market — close enough to the national average on age, income and household mix that chains launch products here first and watch what happens before going nationwide. If you have eaten a new fast-food item in the last fifty years, there is a decent chance Columbus ate it first. Our menus pull in the opposite direction: food that has to be made slowly, by hand, by people standing next to each other. Cavatelli & Competition has every piece of pasta shaped individually. Charcuterie & Connection is an hour of arranging salt, smoke and time on a board and then eating the evidence. Neither scales, tests or ships, which is rather the point of booking one.
Who from Rockoly is actually there on the day?
A full crew, so your team only has to show up. Every Columbus event is staffed with: A chef or mixologist leading the session and teaching hands-on. An event planner who builds the menu, schedule and room plan with you in advance. Event helpers prepping ingredients, running the stations and troubleshooting. Serving staff for appetizers, drinks and any extra courses. A cleanup crew handling dishes, tables and the space at the end. Experience isn't required from anyone in the room. The menus are built for beginners, and we've hosted more than 5,000 events with a 5-star Google rating across 109 reviews.
We have vegetarians, a gluten-free teammate and someone who doesn't drink. Now what?
Nothing changes, and nothing costs more. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, kosher and no-alcohol needs are part of standard planning — share them with your coordinator in advance and they're built into the menu at no extra cost. Mixology & Mingle serves snacks, appetizers and non-alcoholic refreshments alongside the cocktails, so tell your planner and nobody has to sit the hour out. Menus can also be combined or trimmed to fit the group: swap in a main course, add a dessert, or run drinks and food side by side.
What does the crew actually need from our building on the day?
Table space, a way in, and the room to themselves before your team arrives. The chefs bring the ingredients, the supplies and the equipment with them and build the stations on ordinary tables, so there's no kitchen to find and nothing for your facilities team to install. What they do need is somewhere to unload and a clear route from there to the room — a different question downtown than it is in an office park out toward Dublin or Westerville, and the one thing worth checking before you confirm a date. Your coordinator goes over the space with you in advance, so that's the moment to say what the access really looks like: where a vehicle can stop, whether there's a service entrance or a freight elevator, and anything your building wants from a vendor before it will let one in. Setup and cleanup are ours either way — the crew builds the room before your team walks in and puts it back afterwards, so a conference room goes back to being a conference room. And if the honest answer is that your building makes all of this difficult, say so early and your coordinator will look at a nearby venue instead.
What's included?
One rate covers the event. In Columbus that means: Live instruction from a chef or mixologist. All ingredients, supplies and equipment. Setup and cleanup by the Rockoly team. Extra food and drinks, so nobody leaves hungry. A dedicated event coordinator plus free customizations. Event insurance. The rate varies by menu and group size, which is why your planner quotes the event instead of posting a single number. Groups run from 3 people to 600 and up, and very large teams usually split by department or across two days. Extras are priced on top — custom aprons with your team's names or logo are $40 per person.
What's the first step?
Fill in the inquiry form on this page or email events@rockoly.com, and a planner comes back with available dates, menu suggestions and a quote. Aim for roughly three weeks ahead for a cooking event and four for a happy hour; if your date is sooner, ask anyway, because rush bookings sometimes work. A deposit holds it, by credit card, ACH transfer or check. Cancel 30 or more days out and you are refunded what you paid less any nonrecoverable costs already committed; 15 to 29 days out you choose between a 50% refund and a 100% Rockoly credit; inside 15 days payments are nonrefundable, though one complimentary reschedule is yours if you ask 30+ days ahead. Every booking carries our Love Your Event Guarantee: if your Rockoly event doesn't live up to expectations, we'll make it right. We're rated 5 stars on Google across 109 reviews.
