Cooking Kits Delivered

A live, hosted team event with a kit shipped to every participant ahead of time. Everyone opens the same box at the same moment, a chef or facilitator leads the session over Zoom, Teams or your platform of choice, and about 60 minutes later the group has built something together: a pizza, fresh pasta, a charcuterie board, a tiramisu. It is the lowest-effort way to get a scattered team doing the same thing at the same time, which is why kits work so well for remote teams, employee appreciation, client events and company celebrations.

It is both, and the distinction is worth knowing when you are comparing options. Every event is a live class — a chef or facilitator on Zoom, Teams or your own platform, working with your group in real time — and every participant gets their own kit shipped ahead of the date with the ingredients portioned per person. The Pizza Making, Pasta Making, Churros and Tiramisu kits are hands-on cooking classes in the ordinary sense. The Charcuterie and Cheese & Chocolate kits are guided tastings and assembly rather than cooking, which is the option to pick if some of your team have very little kitchen to work with.

Everything the workshop needs, portioned per person, and in a few kits a tool people keep:

• Pizza Making Kit: dough mix, sauce, and classic toppings like pepperoni, olives and mozzarella, plus a pizza cutter that is yours to keep.
• Pasta Making Kit: dry pasta ingredients, a rich tomato-based sauce and Italian herbs to roll, cut and cook fresh pasta from scratch.
• Tiramisu Kit: espresso-soaked ladyfingers, mascarpone cream and cocoa, with your own cocoa sifter for the final dusting.
• Charcuterie Kit: a seasonal spread of meats and cheeses with nuts, crackers, mustard and jam.
• Churros Kit: everything for hand-made churros fried and rolled in cinnamon sugar, with an optional horchata add-on.
• Cheese and Chocolate Kit: a guided tasting flight built on sweet and savory contrast, offered October through March.

A wine pairing can be added to most of them, and the churros take a horchata instead.

Two of the six need no heat at all, and only one asks for a stove and hot oil. The box carries the ingredients, plus a pizza cutter with the pizza kit and a cocoa sifter with the tiramisu, and the pans come from each person's own kitchen. From least demanding upward:

• Charcuterie, and Cheese and Chocolate: no cooking. A board or a plate, a knife and a couple of bowls.
• Tiramisu: no oven, since it is layered and assembled rather than baked. A bowl and a spoon do it.
• Pasta: a clear surface to roll and cut on, and a pot of boiling water.
• Pizza: an oven, since the pie gets baked from scratch.
• Churros: the most demanding of the six, because they are fried. A pot with a few inches of oil on the stove.

So if part of your team is in a hotel room, a dorm or an office kitchen, say so early and pick a no-heat kit for that group. Your planner confirms the short equipment list for whichever kit you choose, well before the date.

Two of them carry it in the shape of the food itself. Tiramisu is the straightforward one: in Italian it means pick me up, a nod to the espresso soaking the ladyfingers, and it is one of the few desserts named after what it does to you rather than what is in it.

The churro is the sneakier one. Those ridges down the side are not decoration — the dough is pushed through a star-shaped nozzle, and the ridges multiply the surface area meeting the oil, so the outside crisps quickly and evenly while the inside stays soft. Pipe the same dough through a round tip and you get something denser and greasier that takes longer to cook. The shape is the recipe.

Your host tells these while the group builds, which is how a box of food turns into something people are still talking about the following week.

It is hands-on the whole way through. Everyone has the same box open, so people are building at the same time instead of watching a demo. Your host runs the chat, drops in trivia or a mini scavenger hunt while a dough rests, and makes sure the quieter people get a moment, and those team-building games are free with any kit workshop. Sixty minutes fits inside a lunch block, and it ends while people still want more.

Standard shipping is free anywhere in the US, and kits arrive one to three days before your event. You don't have to chase anyone for a mailing address either. Send us a list, or let us collect addresses directly from your team with our address collection form. Every shipment is insured, so if a kit is lost, delayed or damaged we send a replacement rather than leave that person out. Partners and family can join on the same screen at no charge, which is why one box often turns into a household activity.

Often, yes, on request. We have delivered to team members in Australia, the UK, Canada, Sweden, Ireland, Germany, South Africa, Mexico, India and Spain, among other countries, and your planner will confirm what is possible for your specific list. When a kit can't reach someone in time, we send a shopping list instead so that person still builds the same board or the same pizza on the call. Nobody should join a Rockoly event as a spectator because of where they live.

Every rate includes the chef or host, your dedicated event planner, the kit and its delivery, gratuities and all service fees, so the number you approve is the number you pay.

Yes, per person and at no extra cost. Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan versions exist across the cooking, dessert and tasting kits, and a substitution is packed for that individual rather than imposed on the group, so one gluten-free pizza kit doesn't change what anyone else receives. Share allergies with your planner when you send the participant list and the boxes are packed accordingly. No-alcohol events are handled the same way; just say so in advance.

About three weeks, and unlike a chef's diary this one is not negotiable by charm: every box has to be assembled and physically shipped to an individual address. Rush dates are sometimes possible depending on chef availability, so it is still worth asking. You do not have to gather the addresses yourself either — send a list, or let us collect them directly from your team with our address collection form.

A $250 deposit holds your date, payable by credit card, ACH transfer or check. Cancel 21 or more days out and you are refunded what you paid less any nonrecoverable costs already committed; 8 to 20 days out you choose between a 50% refund and a 100% Rockoly credit; inside 8 days payments are nonrefundable, though one complimentary reschedule is yours if you ask 14+ days ahead.
