FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Rockoly Membership FAQ
What do I actually get for $100 a year?
Eight perks that apply to every event you book while your membership is running.
- 5% cash back credit: 5% of every event's cost comes back to you as credit toward the next one.
- No express fees on food deliveries.
- No international delivery fees.
- 5% off Gift Add-Ons.
- Priority scheduling.
- Complimentary event upgrades on select menus.
- Complimentary guest passes for large groups: 2 spots with ingredient kits included, on events with 20 or more paid participants.
- Access to member-only events and seasonal previews.
Your Account Executive applies them to the same invoice, and they cover virtual cooking workshops, happy hours and in-person team events alike. Rockoly has hosted over 1,000 chef-led events and holds a 5-star Google rating across 105 reviews; membership is simply the cheaper way to keep booking them.
How is the 5% cash back credit calculated?
It's 5% of the total event cost, before taxes and fees, added to your Rockoly account as credit. Here's the full path it takes:
- Earn it: each time you book an eligible Rockoly event, 5% of the total event cost before taxes and fees is added to your account as credit.
- Track it: your accumulated credit is recorded on your account and stays there until you use it.
- Redeem it: when you book your next event, tell us and we'll apply your available credit against the total.
On a real booking that looks like this:
- A $2,000 event earns $100 in Rockoly credit.
- That $100 comes straight off the total of a future booking.
How quickly does the membership pay for itself?
Run it against your own event budget. Cash back is 5% of event cost before taxes and fees, so the fee is covered once your event spend for the year reaches $2,000 — one mid-sized team event. A $2,000 event returns $100 in credit, which is the whole year's membership.
Cash back is only one line of the savings, though. Members also skip express fees on food deliveries and international delivery fees, take 5% off Gift Add-Ons, and get 2 complimentary guest passes with ingredient kits on events with 20 or more paid participants. If you book more than one event a year, the fee stops being the number worth thinking about fairly quickly.
When does it renew, and can I cancel?
It's $100 today and $100 on the same date each year, charged automatically to the card you join with. You'll get a receipt from Stripe every time it renews, so a renewal never arrives unannounced.
Cancel whenever you like — email events@rockoly.com or call (617) 939-9732 and we'll stop the renewal. Your membership then runs to the end of the year you've already paid for rather than ending the day you ask, so an event you've booked for next month keeps its member pricing.
Does my Rockoly credit expire?
No. Credit you've earned is yours and doesn't expire, so it makes no difference whether your next event is next month or next year. Mention it when you book and we'll apply whatever you've built up against the total.
That holds even if you let the membership lapse: you keep the balance you've already earned. What stops while you're not a member is earning new credit and the rest of the member pricing, both of which start again the moment you rejoin.
I already bought the $450 lifetime membership. What changes for me?
Nothing at all. You bought a lifetime membership and it stays a lifetime membership: every perk continues for life, you will never be charged the $100 annual fee, and the credit you've accumulated stays exactly where it is.
You don't need to do anything, sign anything or re-join. Book the way you always have and mention your membership to your Account Executive. If you'd like it confirmed in writing, email events@rockoly.com and we'll send it.
We only run one event a year. Is it still worth joining?
It depends on the size of that one event, and the honest answer is arithmetic rather than salesmanship. Cash back is 5% before taxes and fees, so the year's $100 is covered by a single event of $2,000 or more — which is roughly a team of twenty. Below that, cash back alone won't cover it.
The other perks are where a once-a-year booking earns it back. There are no express fees on food deliveries and no international delivery fees, which is the line that moves fastest if your team isn't all in one country; there's 5% off Gift Add-Ons, priority scheduling, complimentary event upgrades on select menus, and 2 complimentary guest passes with kits once you're at 20 or more paid participants. If your one event a year is the big all-hands one, that's exactly where those are worth the most.
How do I use my Rockoly membership?
Book the way you normally would and tell your planner you're a member. They handle the rest.
- Explore Rockoly virtual cooking, Happy Hour and in-person experiences and choose the perfect event for your team.
- Mention your membership to your Account Executive and they will apply your member discounts to the invoice.
- Your new event also earns 5% cash back credit toward the one after it.
- Keep an eye on your email for member-only events, seasonal previews, new menu tastings and special offers through the year.
Which Gift Add-Ons can I apply my 5% discount to?
Your 5% Rockoly membership discount applies to a variety of Gift Add-Ons, including:
👨🍳 Personalized Aprons – Customize aprons with names or logos for a special touch.
🍸 Cocktail Shakers – Elevate your virtual happy hour with high-quality shakers.
🥘 Paella Pans – The perfect addition to our Spanish cooking experiences, making every dish authentic.
That paella pan earns its place, by the way, because the pan is the technique. Wide and shallow means the rice sits in a single thin layer, and once it goes in it is never stirred — stirring works the starch loose and quietly turns the dish into risotto, which is a fine thing to eat and the wrong thing to have made. Leaving it strictly alone is what lets the base toast into the caramelized crust Spanish cooks compete over. It is the sort of detail a Rockoly chef talks you through live, and at 5% off, the pan is the part of the event your team still has next month.
What do the membership's delivery perks cover?
Two fees that otherwise land on the invoice: express fees on food deliveries and international delivery fees. Members pay neither.
The second one matters more than it sounds if your team isn't all in one country. Rockoly delivers ingredients to Australia, the UK, Canada, Sweden, Ireland, Germany, South Africa, Mexico, India and Spain among others, and standard kit delivery inside the US is already free — so a distributed team can join the same live event without the delivery line reshaping the budget. Anyone who would rather not take a delivery can skip it and cook from a shopping list instead.
What does Priority Scheduling actually get us?
It puts your date request at the front of the queue. Every Rockoly event is run live by a chef, so what you're really reserving is a place on a chef's calendar, and members get priority when those dates are assigned.
Planning ahead still helps: about three weeks of runway for a cooking event, four for a happy hour. But if the date you need is tighter than that, ask rather than writing it off — a rush date is sometimes possible depending on which chefs are free, and priority is worth the most exactly when the calendar is tight. Mention your membership in the first conversation about dates rather than after they're locked, so your Account Executive can put it to work while there's still a choice to make.
What are Complimentary Event Upgrades?
Bonus chef-led additions on select menus, given to members at no extra cost. Depending on the menu you choose that might be fresh tortilla making with Mexican Street Tacos, naan making alongside Tikka Masala, a sushi styling challenge, a premium garnish kit for a happy hour, or another seasonal chef-led addition.
They're the part people describe afterwards rather than the part they forget. Ask your planner which upgrade is attached to the menu you're considering.
How do the Complimentary Guest Passes work?
Book an event with 20 or more paid participants and you receive 2 complimentary guest spots, ingredient kits included. They exist for the people who appear after the headcount is locked: last-minute attendees, an executive who decides to drop in, a new hire who started that week, or a VIP guest.
Because the kits come with the spots, a guest isn't watching from the side — they're cooking along with the rest of the team.
Can I use my Rockoly membership for in-person events?
Yes. Every perk applies to in-person team-building experiences as well as virtual ones — the 5% cash back credit, the add-on discount, priority scheduling and the rest. A hands-on cooking class in your office earns credit exactly the way a virtual happy hour does, and credit earned at one can be spent on the other.
How do I join, and who do I talk to first?
Join right on this page — the checkout above takes the $100 and sets the membership running without sending you anywhere else. If you'd rather talk it through first, call (617) 939-9732 or email events@rockoly.com and an event planner will run the numbers against your own event calendar.
Then book whenever you're ready. Teams usually plan about three weeks ahead for cooking events and four weeks for happy hours, and rush dates are sometimes possible depending on chef availability. Every Rockoly event is backed by the Love Your Event Guarantee: your team should have an amazing experience, and if your Rockoly event doesn't live up to expectations, we'll make it right.
