Process and timeline

From the moment you book to the moment the chef says hello.

  1. When you book

    Hold your date

A $250 deposit reserves the date and comes off the total in full. Dates 2 weeks out book instantly; sooner than that, ask and we can often expedite.

  2. Within a day

Your event planner gets in touch

Every event gets a dedicated planner, at no cost. They shape it around your team — the menu, the timings, dietary needs, and the parts that make it yours.

    • Free customization of the menu and the run of show
    • Free engagement games to open or close the session
    • Extra cheers, toasts and shout-outs for birthdays, wins and farewells
    • Dietary adjustments for anyone who needs them
  3. As soon as you like

    Collect guest addresses

We send every guest a short form to fill in themselves, so you never chase anyone for a home address. Prefer to handle it yourself? Send us the list instead.

  4. 14 days before

    Addresses in

That is the deadline for free standard shipping anywhere in the US. International delivery is available to most countries at additional cost, and those addresses are due earlier.

  5. The day before or the day of

    Fresh ingredients arrive

Not a box packed a week ago: each guest's ingredients are bought fresh at a local store — Whole Foods first choice, or the best grocer near them — and delivered to their door, so what they cook with is fresh on the day.

  6. Event day

Everyone joins and the chef takes it from there

One link, no software to install. Your planner is on hand in the background if anything needs sorting mid-event.

Agenda / Run of show

A breakdown of how the 60 min runs.

  1. 0:00 – 0:05

    Welcome & introduction

Meet your chef and host, run through the ingredients and equipment, and say hello to the team.

  2. 0:05 – 0:13

    Mise en place

Prep and portion everything before the cooking starts — the step that makes the rest calm.

  3. 0:13 – 0:36

    Cook together

The chef leads the dish step by step, at a pace the whole group can follow, with tips as you go.

  4. 0:36 – 0:44

    Team break

While something rests or bakes, the host runs a short icebreaker or trivia round.

  5. 0:44 – 0:52

    Finish & plate

Bring it together, plate it up and learn how a chef would serve it.

  6. 0:52 – 1:00

    Taste, group photo & Q&A

Eat what you made, take the team photo, and ask the chef anything.

What guests said about this experience

Verified guest

Pipián is the green mole, built on pumpkin seeds rather than chocolate, and I'd only ever had the dark kind — so this was genuinely new territory. Toasting the seeds is where the flavour comes from and Chef Arturo pushed everyone further than felt comfortable before blending. The sauce splits easily if you rush it back onto the heat, which he warned about and two people discovered anyway.

Samira

Verified guest

The context made it. Chef Arturo explained where pipián sits in Mexican cooking and why it predates the chocolate-based moles people know, which turned a recipe into something more interesting. He was also honest that a traditional version takes far longer than an hour, and what had been simplified to fit.

Elena

Verified guest

Straightforward to organize, though worth flagging that the ingredient list is longer than most and a couple of items are unfamiliar — that's the nature of the dish rather than a fault. Everything arrived on time and the chicken was in good condition. Our group needed the full session and slightly over.

Andre

Verified guest

Chef Arturo was clear and easy to follow despite there being a fair number of components, and sensibly sequenced — the sauce comes together while the chicken rests, so nothing sits around going cold. He was patient with the people whose blenders weren't up to the job, which is a real problem with a seed-based sauce and not something you can anticipate.
