Rockoly Membership FAQ

My membership is live. What do I do first?

Pick an event and tell your planner you're a member. That's genuinely it. Browse Rockoly's virtual cooking, happy hour and in-person experiences, then mention your membership when you email events@rockoly.com or speak to your account executive, and the member discounts are applied to your invoice. That booking earns 5% cash back credit toward the next one. Watch your inbox too: member-only events, seasonal previews and new menu tastings go out there first, and priority scheduling gives you first call on peak dates.

How does the 5% cash back actually reach me?

It's 5% of what you spend on eligible events, added to your account as credit you can spend later. The sequence:

  1. You book an event. 5% of the total event cost, before taxes and fees, is added to your Rockoly account as credit.
  2. We track the balance for you, so there is nothing to clip, claim or remember.
  3. On a later booking, ask your planner to apply it and it comes straight off the total.

A $2,000 event earns $100 in credit. Three of those and your fourth event starts $300 down.

Does my credit expire?

Never. Your 5% cash back credit has no expiry date and no minimum, so it sits there until you want it, whether that's this quarter or three years from now. You can spend it as you go to shave a little off each invoice, or let it build and put it toward a bigger year-end celebration. Just tell your planner at booking and we apply whatever's on your balance. The credit stays yours even if you later stop the membership — what stops is earning new credit.

How do I claim the upgrades and the guest passes?

Both are things you ask for rather than things that appear on an invoice, so it is worth knowing what to ask for.

For the upgrades: when you settle on a menu, ask your account executive which chef-led bonus segment it carries. Fresh tortilla making comes with Mexican Street Tacos, naan making with Tikka Masala, a styling challenge with sushi, premium garnish kits with a happy hour, and the seasonal ones rotate through the year, so the answer changes depending on when you book.

For the guest passes: book 20 or more paid participants and two extra people join free, ingredient kits included. Name them as late as your kit deadline allows. They exist for the cases that always come up — the colleague who says yes the morning of, the executive who wants to drop in, the new hire who started last week — so there is no reason to allocate them early.

Which gift add-ons does my 5% discount apply to?

A range of them, including personalized aprons carrying names or a logo, cocktail shakers for happy hours, and paella pans for the Spanish menus. They make good gifts and they outlast the event.

The cocktail shaker deserves a word, given where this company is headquartered. Bartenders use two families of shaker. The cobbler is the three-piece one most people own, with a built-in strainer and a little cap. The Boston is just two vessels — a metal tin and a smaller tin or mixing glass — knocked together at an angle so the seal forms itself. It has no moving parts and nothing that can jam, which is why almost every working bar uses one and why a cobbler's cap has a reputation for freezing shut halfway through service.

Rockoly is headquartered in Boston, so that is the one piece of kit on the list we take slightly personally. Your discount covers it, and your mixologist will show the team how to crack the seal without wearing the drink.

Do my perks work for in-person events, or only virtual?

Both, with no difference in what you get. A hands-on cooking class in your office earns the same 5% cash back as a virtual happy hour, and the same 5% comes off add-ons either way. The delivery perks matter most on the virtual side: members pay no express fees when a kit has to move quickly, and no international delivery fees at all, which is worth real money if you have people in the UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland, Germany, Sweden, Spain, Mexico, India or South Africa on the invite list. Priority scheduling applies across every format.

Is the membership mine, or can colleagues book on it too?

It lives on your Rockoly account, and the account is what everything attaches to. Cash back credit is posted there when you book and applied from there on a later booking, so the perks follow the account rather than a card in someone's wallet. That matters the moment a second person in your company wants to book — a different office, another department, an assistant arranging it for you. Ask your account executive to confirm how your account should be set up so the right people can draw on the same credit and the same member pricing, and do that before the booking rather than after. The membership renews once a year on the same date, so it is one piece of admin a year. And if events end up spread across several teams all year, ask about the Culture Subscription — it's built for exactly that.

How do I book my first event as a member?

Email events@rockoly.com or call (617) 939-9732 and say you're a member. Your account executive applies member pricing and confirms which upgrades are available on the menu you choose. A $250 deposit holds the date and is applied in full to your event total. Give yourself about three weeks for a cooking event and four for a happy hour so kits arrive comfortably; rush dates are sometimes possible depending on chef availability. Dietary needs cost nothing to accommodate, so send them along with your headcount. And every event carries the Love Your Event Guarantee: if it doesn't live up to expectations, we'll make it right.
