Process and timeline

From the moment you book to the moment the chef says hello.

  1. When you book

    Hold your date

A $250 deposit reserves the date and comes off the total in full. Dates 2 weeks out book instantly; sooner than that, ask and we can often expedite.

  2. Within a day

Your event planner gets in touch

Every event gets a dedicated planner, at no cost. They shape it around your team — the menu, the timings, dietary needs, and the parts that make it yours.

    • Free customization of the menu and the run of show
    • Free engagement games to open or close the session
    • Extra cheers, toasts and shout-outs for birthdays, wins and farewells
    • Dietary adjustments for anyone who needs them
  3. 1 week before

    Confirm headcount and space

Tell us the final numbers and where we are setting up. Your planner checks the room, the power and the tables with you so nothing is a surprise on the day.

  4. On the day

Your chef arrives set up and ready

They bring the ingredients, the equipment and everything else, run the event, and leave the space exactly as they found it.

Agenda / Run of show

A breakdown of how the 2 hours runs.

  1. 0:00 – 0:10

    Introductions & the plan

Meet your chef, hear the menu and split into stations.

  3. 0:24 – 1:12

Each station takes a part of the menu, with the chef moving between them.

  4. 1:12 – 1:30

    Team activity

A short competition or tasting challenge between stations.

  5. 1:30 – 1:48

What guests said about this experience

The competition element sounds like a gimmick and turns out to be the whole thing. Once your table is trying to beat the next one, people who'd normally hang back are arguing about whether it needs more garlic. Rolling cavatelli is satisfyingly repetitive — you press and flick the dough off a board, and after about ten you stop thinking about it. Our pesto lost, unfairly.

I cook a lot and still learned something about pesto — that you bruise the basil rather than blitz it if you want it to stay green, and that the cheese goes in last. Chef Emily explained why rather than just directing traffic. The pasta itself is simple enough that I've made it twice at home since.

I'd never made pasta and assumed there'd be a machine involved. There isn't — you roll a small piece under your thumb and it curls into a shell. It took a few goes to stop them coming out flat, and by the end I had a tray of them that looked like the real thing.

It ran to time on a busy afternoon, which I appreciated more than I expected to. Everything was set up when we arrived, the pace never stalled, and we sat down and ate what we'd made rather than waiting on a kitchen to plate it up.
