Process and timeline

From the moment you book to the moment the chef says hello.

  1. When you book

    Hold your date

A $250 deposit reserves the date and comes off the total in full. Dates 2 weeks out book instantly; sooner than that, ask and we can often expedite.

  2. Within a day

Your event planner gets in touch

Every event gets a dedicated planner, at no cost. They shape it around your team — the menu, the timings, dietary needs, and the parts that make it yours.

    • Free customization of the menu and the run of show
    • Free engagement games to open or close the session
    • Extra cheers, toasts and shout-outs for birthdays, wins and farewells
    • Dietary adjustments for anyone who needs them
  3. 1 week before

    Confirm headcount and space

Tell us the final numbers and where we are setting up. Your planner checks the room, the power and the tables with you so nothing is a surprise on the day.

  4. On the day

Your chef arrives set up and ready

They bring the ingredients, the equipment and everything else, run the event, and leave the space exactly as they found it.

Agenda / Run of show

A breakdown of how the 2 hours runs.

  1. 0:00 – 0:10

    Arrival & welcome

Your chef sets up while the team arrives — drinks and something to nibble.

  2. 0:10 – 0:24

    Introductions & the plan

Meet your chef, hear the menu and split into stations.

  3. 0:24 – 1:12

    Hands-on cooking

Each station takes a part of the menu, with the chef moving between them.

  4. 1:12 – 1:30

    Team activity

A short competition or tasting challenge between stations.

  5. 1:30 – 1:48

    Sit down and eat

Everything comes together and the team eats what it made.

  6. 1:48 – 2:00

    Coffee, photo & clean-up

Your chef clears everything away. You do not.

What guests said about this experience

The plating section is what set this apart from other cooking events I've been to. We spent real time on how a plate is composed — spacing, height, where the wasabi and ginger sit — not just on how to roll. Chef Quan has an eye for it and would move one piece two centimetres and the whole plate would improve. Everyone photographed theirs before eating, which tells you it worked.

I'd never made maki and assumed I'd hold up my table. Nobody minded, and the first two falling apart is apparently standard. By the fourth mine held together. It's a good format for a mixed group because failing is funny rather than embarrassing.

I organized this for a client evening and it did what I wanted — people were busy with their hands, which makes conversation far easier than a standing reception. Everything was set up before we arrived and cleared afterwards without me having to think about it.

Chef Quan kept about twenty-five of us moving without anyone falling behind, and was patient with the table that kept over-filling their rolls. That was our table.
