Add-ons

Wine Pairing

Complete the occasion with a wine pairing add-on to complement the flavors of this dish.

Process and timeline

From the moment you book to the moment the chef says hello.

  1. When you book

    Hold your date

A $250 deposit reserves the date and comes off the total in full. Dates 2 weeks out book instantly; sooner than that, ask and we can often expedite.

  2. Within a day

Your event planner gets in touch

Every event gets a dedicated planner, at no cost. They shape it around your team — the menu, the timings, dietary needs, and the parts that make it yours.

    • Free customization of the menu and the run of show
    • Free engagement games to open or close the session
    • Extra cheers, toasts and shout-outs for birthdays, wins and farewells
    • Dietary adjustments for anyone who needs them
  3. As soon as you like

    Collect guest addresses

We send every guest a short form to fill in themselves, so you never chase anyone for a home address. Prefer to handle it yourself? Send us the list instead.

  4. 14 days before

    Addresses in

That is the deadline for free standard shipping anywhere in the US. International delivery is available to most countries at additional cost, and those addresses are due earlier.

  5. The day before or the day of

    Fresh ingredients arrive

Not a box packed a week ago: each guest's ingredients are bought fresh at a local store — Whole Foods first choice, or the best grocer near them — and delivered to their door, so what they cook with is fresh on the day.

  6. Event day

Everyone joins and the chef takes it from there

One link, no software to install. Your planner is on hand in the background if anything needs sorting mid-event.

Agenda / Run of show

A breakdown of how the 60 min runs.

  1. 0:00 – 0:05

    Welcome & introduction

Meet your chef and host, run through the ingredients and equipment, and say hello to the team.

  2. 0:05 – 0:13

    Mise en place

Prep and portion everything before the cooking starts — the step that makes the rest calm.

  3. 0:13 – 0:36

    Cook together

The chef leads the dish step by step, at a pace the whole group can follow, with tips as you go.

  4. 0:36 – 0:44

    Team break

While something rests or bakes, the host runs a short icebreaker or trivia round.

  5. 0:44 – 0:52

    Finish & plate

Bring it together, plate it up and learn how a chef would serve it.

  6. 0:52 – 1:00

    Taste, group photo & Q&A

Eat what you made, take the team photo, and ask the chef anything.

What guests said about this experience

Verified guest

The tahini sauce is what makes this more than a plate of vegetables, and the trick with it is that it seizes up when you first add water and then loosens if you keep going — most people give up at the seizing stage and add oil instead. Chef Emily walked everyone through it. Beyond that it's a lesson in building a bowl: something roasted, something raw, something starchy, something acidic, and a sauce to tie it together.

Caleb

Verified guest

Easy to make with children around and easy to adapt for fussy ones, because everything is a separate component that goes into the bowl rather than a mixed dish. Ours picked their own combination and therefore ate it without argument, which is worth a great deal. Nothing sharp beyond the initial chopping.

Amara

I'd been making versions of this at home for a while and they were always slightly dull. The missing pieces turned out to be acid and texture — something pickled or lemony, and something crunchy on top. Once that was pointed out it seemed obvious, and it has improved every bowl I've made since.

Straightforward to organize and genuinely inclusive: vegan as it stands, no substitutions needed for anyone, and no equipment beyond a baking tray. It also scales down well, so the people cooking for one weren't left with enormous quantities.
