Description

Grab your favorite cookie cutters and get ready to make some fun gingerbread cookies. We’ll create some custom decorations while the cookies bake and cool, and then the decorating competition begins. Pair with mulled wine for a festive experience.

   A $250 deposit reserves the date and comes off the total in full. Dates 2 weeks out book instantly; sooner than that, ask and we can often expedite.

   Your event planner gets in touch

   Every event gets a dedicated planner, at no cost. They shape it around your team — the menu, the timings, dietary needs, and the parts that make it yours.

   Collect guest addresses

   We send every guest a short form to fill in themselves, so you never chase anyone for a home address. Prefer to handle it yourself? Send us the list instead.

   Addresses in

   That is the deadline for free standard shipping anywhere in the US. International delivery is available to most countries at additional cost, and those addresses are due earlier.

   The day before or the day of

   Fresh ingredients arrive

   Not a box packed a week ago: each guest's ingredients are bought fresh at a local store — Whole Foods first choice, or the best grocer near them — and delivered to their door, so what they cook with is fresh on the day.

   Event day

   Everyone joins and the chef takes it from there

   One link, no software to install. Your planner is on hand in the background if anything needs sorting mid-event.

1. 0:00 – 0:07

   Welcome & introduction

   Meet your chef and host, run through the ingredients and equipment, and say hello to the team.

2. 0:07 – 0:20

   Mise en place

   Prep and portion everything before the cooking starts — the step that makes the rest calm.

3. 0:20 – 0:54

   Cook together

   The chef leads the dish step by step, at a pace the whole group can follow, with tips as you go.

4. 0:54 – 1:07

   Team break

   While something rests or bakes, the host runs a short icebreaker or trivia round.

5. 1:07 – 1:20

   Finish & plate

   Bring it together, plate it up and learn how a chef would serve it.

6. 1:20 – 1:30

   Taste, group photo & Q&A

   Eat what you made, take the team photo, and ask the chef anything.

How to join

• Your event planner sends the Zoom link with your confirmation, and again the day before.
• Prefer Microsoft Teams or Google Meet? Say so when you book and your host will run it there instead.
• No account or download needed for guests — the link opens in a browser.

Available for events at least 2 weeks out. Sooner than that, ask us — we can often expedite.

Cancellation, rescheduling and changes

Plans move. Every window below is counted back from your event date, and applies to virtual events like this one.

Gingerbread dough has to be chilled properly or the shapes spread in the oven and your reindeer comes out looking like a puddle — that's the one rule and Chef Emily repeated it several times because everyone wants to skip it. Rolling between two sheets of parchment rather than flouring the surface was the other useful trick; it stops you working extra flour in and toughening the dough. Mine held their shape well enough to be recognisable.

Fits into an hour with the chilling built in rather than tacked on — you make the icing while the dough rests, so there's no dead time. Worth knowing that decorating properly takes longer than the baking, so if your group wants neat results allow a bit extra at the end. Ours mostly went for enthusiasm over precision.

Molasses and the spice blend are what make these taste of something rather than just sweet, and the proportions were explained rather than dictated, which meant people could adjust. I've since made them with more ginger and less cinnamon, which suits us better. They keep for a fortnight in a tin, so a single session covered our whole December.
