Description

The Pride Month Cooking Workshops celebrate diversity and creativity through delicious, colorful culinary creations.

Process and timeline

From the moment you book to the moment the chef says hello.

  1. When you book

    Hold your date

A $250 deposit reserves the date and comes off the total in full. Dates 2 weeks out book instantly; sooner than that, ask and we can often expedite.

  2. Within a day

Your event planner gets in touch

Every event gets a dedicated planner, at no cost. They shape it around your team — the menu, the timings, dietary needs, and the parts that make it yours.

    • Free customization of the menu and the run of show
    • Free engagement games to open or close the session
    • Extra cheers, toasts and shout-outs for birthdays, wins and farewells
    • Dietary adjustments for anyone who needs them
  3. A week before

    Your shopping list arrives

Suggestions rather than a fixed list, so everyone can work with what is already in their kitchen. Bring your own produce, jars and whatever else you fancy putting up.

  4. Event day

Everyone joins and the chef takes it from there

One link, no software to install. Your planner is on hand in the background if anything needs sorting mid-event.

How to join

Default video platform

Zoom

  • Your event planner sends the Zoom link with your confirmation, and again the day before.
  • Prefer Microsoft Teams or Google Meet? Say so when you book and your host will run it there instead.
  • No account or download needed for guests — the link opens in a browser.

Things you'll need

Everything else is in the box we ship to each guest.

To join

  • A laptop or tablet with a camera
  • A stable internet connection
  • Somewhere to prop the screen where you cook

Kitchen equipment

  • A chopping board and a sharp knife
  • Mixing bowls — large and small
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • A large pan or skillet
  • A stove, and an oven if your chef calls for it

Also handy

  • Salt, pepper and cooking oil
  • A kitchen towel
  • Somewhere clear to work
  • An appetite

Bring your own

Nothing ships — you bring the ingredients

Shopping list
Sent ahead of the session, with suggestions rather than a fixed list — the point is to use what you already have.
Equipment
Whatever you cook with at home. Nothing specialised is needed.
Lead time
Short, and that is the advantage: with nothing to ship, this one can still make a date the others cannot.
Instant booking
Available for events at least 2 weeks out. Sooner than that, ask us — we can often expedite.

What guests said about this experience

A collection for June rather than one class, and the options range from the rainbow fruit tart to the lox bagel session with its Stonewall history — very different events, so it's worth choosing deliberately. We took the bagel one and the history was handled properly: accurate, unsentimental, and not the version that gets sanded down for corporate audiences. Several people on our team said afterwards it was the first Pride event at work that hadn't felt like a logo change.

The framing has content behind it rather than colour applied to a normal session. Booking something for June is easy to get wrong and this doesn't, largely because the food and the history are connected rather than one being decoration on the other. Ask which menu carries the most context if that's what you want from it.

I'd not been to a work Pride event that involved doing anything, and cooking together turned out to be a better format than a panel — people talked to each other rather than listening to someone talk at them. The colourful element is genuinely fun and the results photographed well, which mattered to our internal comms people.

Chef Emily made the session feel welcoming without it being performative, which is a difficult balance and clearly deliberate. She let the material speak and gave people room to ask questions rather than delivering a set piece. The cooking was taught properly alongside, which is what stopped it feeling like an assembly.
