Process and timeline

From the moment you book to the moment the chef says hello.

  1. When you book

    Hold your date

A $250 deposit reserves the date and comes off the total in full. Dates 2 weeks out book instantly; sooner than that, ask and we can often expedite.

  2. Within a day

Your event planner gets in touch

Every event gets a dedicated planner, at no cost. They shape it around your team — the menu, the timings, dietary needs, and the parts that make it yours.

    • Free customization of the menu and the run of show
    • Free engagement games to open or close the session
    • Extra cheers, toasts and shout-outs for birthdays, wins and farewells
    • Dietary adjustments for anyone who needs them
  3. As soon as you like

    Collect guest addresses

We send every guest a short form to fill in themselves, so you never chase anyone for a home address. Prefer to handle it yourself? Send us the list instead.

  4. 14 days before

    Addresses in

That is the deadline for free standard shipping anywhere in the US. International delivery is available to most countries at additional cost, and those addresses are due earlier.

  5. The day before or the day of

    Fresh ingredients arrive

Not a box packed a week ago: each guest's ingredients are bought fresh at a local store — Whole Foods first choice, or the best grocer near them — and delivered to their door, so what they cook with is fresh on the day.

  6. Event day

Everyone joins and the chef takes it from there

One link, no software to install. Your planner is on hand in the background if anything needs sorting mid-event.

Agenda / Run of show

A breakdown of how the 60 min runs.

  1. 0:00 – 0:05

    Welcome & introduction

Meet your chef and host, run through the ingredients and equipment, and say hello to the team.

  2. 0:05 – 0:13

    Mise en place

Prep and portion everything before the cooking starts — the step that makes the rest calm.

  3. 0:13 – 0:36

    Cook together

The chef leads the dish step by step, at a pace the whole group can follow, with tips as you go.

  4. 0:36 – 0:44

    Team break

While something rests or bakes, the host runs a short icebreaker or trivia round.

  5. 0:44 – 0:52

    Finish & plate

Bring it together, plate it up and learn how a chef would serve it.

  6. 0:52 – 1:00

    Taste, group photo & Q&A

Eat what you made, take the team photo, and ask the chef anything.

What guests said about this experience

Pumpkin in a chili sounds like a seasonal gimmick and it isn't — it breaks down into the sauce and thickens it, so you get body without the heaviness beef would bring. That's the actual reason it's there and it took a minute of explanation to make sense. The spices get toasted in the pan before the liquid goes in, which is the step that separates this from a tin. Skillet cornbread alongside is worth adding; it bakes while the chili simmers.

Julian

Clear and easy to follow, and forgiving in a way that suits a group with mixed confidence — it's a pot of things simmering, so nobody can really ruin it, and stepping away for five minutes costs you nothing. Chef Emily was good on garnishes as a structural element rather than decoration: something acidic, something creamy, something crunchy.

Jordan

Lean turkey needs help that beef doesn't, and the session is built around that — more aromatics, longer on the spices, and the pumpkin doing the work fat would otherwise do. Understanding why made it easy to adjust at home. I've since made it with chicken thigh using the same logic.

Fatima

I'd never made chili from scratch and had always used a packet. The difference is the toasting step and about four spices, which is not much to learn for a considerably better result. It also freezes well, so a session that runs an hour gave us three dinners.
