Process and timeline

From the moment you book to the moment the chef says hello.

  1. When you book

    Hold your date

A $250 deposit reserves the date and comes off the total in full. Dates 2 weeks out book instantly; sooner than that, ask and we can often expedite.

  2. Within a day

Your event planner gets in touch

Every event gets a dedicated planner, at no cost. They shape it around your team — the menu, the timings, dietary needs, and the parts that make it yours.

    • Free customization of the menu and the run of show
    • Free engagement games to open or close the session
    • Extra cheers, toasts and shout-outs for birthdays, wins and farewells
    • Dietary adjustments for anyone who needs them
  3. As soon as you like

    Collect guest addresses

We send every guest a short form to fill in themselves, so you never chase anyone for a home address. Prefer to handle it yourself? Send us the list instead.

  4. 10 days before

    Addresses in

That is the deadline for free standard shipping anywhere in the US. International delivery is available to most countries at additional cost, and those addresses are due earlier.

  5. The day before or the day of

    Fresh ingredients arrive

Not a box packed a week ago: each guest's ingredients are bought fresh at a local store — Whole Foods first choice, or the best grocer near them — and delivered to their door, so what they cook with is fresh on the day.

  6. Event day

Everyone joins and the chef takes it from there

One link, no software to install. Your planner is on hand in the background if anything needs sorting mid-event.

Agenda / Run of show

A breakdown of how the 90 min runs.

  1. 0:00 – 0:07

    Welcome & introduction

Meet your chef and host, run through the ingredients and equipment, and say hello to the team.

  2. 0:07 – 0:20

    Mise en place

Prep and portion everything before the cooking starts — the step that makes the rest calm.

  3. 0:20 – 0:54

    Cook together

The chef leads the dish step by step, at a pace the whole group can follow, with tips as you go.

  4. 0:54 – 1:07

    Team break

While something rests or bakes, the host runs a short icebreaker or trivia round.

  5. 1:07 – 1:20

    Finish & plate

Bring it together, plate it up and learn how a chef would serve it.

  6. 1:20 – 1:30

    Taste, group photo & Q&A

Eat what you made, take the team photo, and ask the chef anything.

What guests said about this experience

Verified guest

I’m always drawn to experiences with a strong concept, and the Coq au Vin workshop felt thoughtfully curated rather than generic. Chef Emily added engaging details throughout, giving the session the same sense of discovery I enjoy when exploring a new restaurant or tasting experience. The final result felt worthy of sharing with other food lovers. The small technique tips made a noticeable difference. Having fresh ingredients from Whole Foods made it easy to get started and enjoy the cooking.

As a cultural learner, I enjoyed how the Coq au Vin workshop invited us to explore its theme with curiosity rather than treating it as just another activity. Chef Emily created space for questions and shared thoughtful context, leaving me with a deeper appreciation for the experience. The experience encouraged me to keep exploring the subject. Our Zoom facilitator, Angel, guided a few easy team-building games, which gave the group extra chances to interact.

I had never tried anything like the Coq au Vin workshop before, but Chef Emily explained everything in simple steps and made it easy to join in. I was surprised by how easy it was to follow online, and I finished the session feeling more confident and proud of what I had learned. I would happily try another beginner-friendly workshop. Between activities, Angel, our Zoom facilitator, ran light team-building games that helped everyone connect.

As the group organizer, I loved how easy it was to get the Coq au Vin workshop underway and customize the details for our team. The virtual setup was smooth, Chef Emily kept everyone involved, and the event was genuinely fun from start to finish. Most importantly, the entire group had fun. Coq au Vin made the experience especially memorable.
