Process and timeline

From the moment you book to the moment the chef says hello.

  1. When you book

    Hold your date

A $250 deposit reserves the date and comes off the total in full. Dates 2 weeks out book instantly; sooner than that, ask and we can often expedite.

  2. Within a day

Your event planner gets in touch

Every event gets a dedicated planner, at no cost. They shape it around your team — the menu, the timings, dietary needs, and the parts that make it yours.

    • Free customization of the menu and the run of show
    • Free engagement games to open or close the session
    • Extra cheers, toasts and shout-outs for birthdays, wins and farewells
    • Dietary adjustments for anyone who needs them
  3. As soon as you like

    Collect guest addresses

We send every guest a short form to fill in themselves, so you never chase anyone for a home address. Prefer to handle it yourself? Send us the list instead.

  4. 14 days before

    Addresses in

That is the deadline for free standard shipping anywhere in the US. International delivery is available to most countries at additional cost, and those addresses are due earlier.

  5. The day before or the day of

    Fresh ingredients arrive

Not a box packed a week ago: each guest's ingredients are bought fresh at a local store — Whole Foods first choice, or the best grocer near them — and delivered to their door, so what they cook with is fresh on the day.

  6. Event day

Everyone joins and the chef takes it from there

One link, no software to install. Your planner is on hand in the background if anything needs sorting mid-event.

Agenda / Run of show

A breakdown of how the 60 min runs.

  1. 0:00 – 0:05

    Welcome & introduction

Meet your chef and host, run through the ingredients and equipment, and say hello to the team.

  2. 0:05 – 0:13

    Mise en place

Prep and portion everything before the cooking starts — the step that makes the rest calm.

  3. 0:13 – 0:36

    Cook together

The chef leads the dish step by step, at a pace the whole group can follow, with tips as you go.

  4. 0:36 – 0:44

    Team break

While something rests or bakes, the host runs a short icebreaker or trivia round.

  5. 0:44 – 0:52

    Finish & plate

Bring it together, plate it up and learn how a chef would serve it.

  6. 0:52 – 1:00

    Taste, group photo & Q&A

Eat what you made, take the team photo, and ask the chef anything.

What guests said about this experience

Verified guest

Three peppers at three heat levels means you build the sauce rather than just making it hot, and that's the actual lesson — jalapeño for body, serrano for the middle, habanero for the sting at the back. Chef Emily was clear about gloves and about not leaning over the pan, both of which somebody ignored to their considerable regret. It keeps for weeks in the fridge, so you leave with something you'll use rather than a single meal.

Miles

A good concept for a team session because the output is a jar rather than a plate — people took theirs away and were still reporting back on it a month later. There's also a real technique in it: fermenting versus a quick vinegar sauce, and why the shop-bought ones taste the way they do. More substance than I'd expected from a condiment.

Dakota

I'd never made a sauce of any kind and had assumed it was a fermenting project measured in weeks. This is the quick version and it's done inside an hour, which was a relief. The Bloody Mary pairing is a good add-on because it gives you something to test it in immediately rather than waiting for a meal.

Drew

Verified guest

Chef Emily was upbeat and good-humoured about the fact that half the group were visibly regretting how much habanero they'd committed to. She gave a way to pull a sauce back if it's gone too far — more vinegar, more of the mild pepper, a little sugar — which several people needed by the end. Practical rather than just enthusiastic, which is what you want with something this easy to overdo.
