Add-ons

Wine Pairing

Complete the occasion with a wine pairing add-on to complement the flavors of this dish.

Process and timeline

From the moment you book to the moment the chef says hello.

  1. When you book

    Hold your date

A $250 deposit reserves the date and comes off the total in full. Dates 2 weeks out book instantly; sooner than that, ask and we can often expedite.

  2. Within a day

Your event planner gets in touch

Every event gets a dedicated planner, at no cost. They shape it around your team — the menu, the timings, dietary needs, and the parts that make it yours.

    • Free customization of the menu and the run of show
    • Free engagement games to open or close the session
    • Extra cheers, toasts and shout-outs for birthdays, wins and farewells
    • Dietary adjustments for anyone who needs them
  3. As soon as you like

    Collect guest addresses

We send every guest a short form to fill in themselves, so you never chase anyone for a home address. Prefer to handle it yourself? Send us the list instead.

  4. 14 days before

    Addresses in

That is the deadline for free standard shipping anywhere in the US. International delivery is available to most countries at additional cost, and those addresses are due earlier.

  5. The day before or the day of

    Fresh ingredients arrive

Not a box packed a week ago: each guest's ingredients are bought fresh at a local store — Whole Foods first choice, or the best grocer near them — and delivered to their door, so what they cook with is fresh on the day.

  6. Event day

Everyone joins and the chef takes it from there

One link, no software to install. Your planner is on hand in the background if anything needs sorting mid-event.

Agenda / Run of show

A breakdown of how the 60 min runs.

  1. 0:00 – 0:05

    Welcome & introduction

Meet your chef and host, run through the ingredients and equipment, and say hello to the team.

  2. 0:05 – 0:13

    Mise en place

Prep and portion everything before the cooking starts — the step that makes the rest calm.

  3. 0:13 – 0:36

    Cook together

The chef leads the dish step by step, at a pace the whole group can follow, with tips as you go.

  4. 0:36 – 0:44

    Team break

While something rests or bakes, the host runs a short icebreaker or trivia round.

  5. 0:44 – 0:52

    Finish & plate

Bring it together, plate it up and learn how a chef would serve it.

  6. 0:52 – 1:00

    Taste, group photo & Q&A

Eat what you made, take the team photo, and ask the chef anything.

What guests said about this experience

Huli huli means turn-turn, which is the whole method — you baste and turn repeatedly rather than leaving it alone, and the sauce caramelises in layers rather than burning on in one go. That was the part I'd have got wrong. It's sweet enough that children take to it immediately; ours ate it without any of the usual negotiation, and the coconut rice alongside is mild enough not to frighten anyone off.

Alex

The marinade and the basting sauce are the same base split in two, which is a sensible bit of kitchen economy and means you're not making two things. Chef Emily was clear about not basting with the marinade the raw chicken sat in, which is obvious and worth saying anyway because someone always does it.

Cameron

I've been to Hawaii and this is a fair home version of something that's really a roadside grill dish. The session is honest that you're approximating a charcoal method in a domestic oven or pan, and gives you the way to get closest to it. The pineapple in the sauce does more than sweeten — the acid tenderises the chicken as well.

Simone

Verified guest

Chef Emily was organized and encouraging, and good at pacing a dish that has a lot of repetitive basting in the middle. She used that time to talk about where the dish comes from rather than letting the call go quiet, which is the difference between an hour that drags and one that doesn't.
